The Cortland apple tree produces a McIntosh type apple with sweet vinous flavor, but not all of Mac's perfumery aromatics. The Cortland apple skin is bright red overlaid with darker red streaks. Tart and tangy white crisp flesh; Cortland apples are one of the best salad apples because it doesn't brown quickly. The Cortland apples hang on the tree better than McIntosh, and more crisp in hot weather. The Cortland apple tree is well-suited to freezing temperatures. Shipping it with roots wrapped in wet media during dormancy (November-April), in pot with soil April through October. It is recommended to pot it or plant it in open ground promptly when you receive it in spring time. if Received during summer - keep it in the container till dormancy so it can be planted in open ground safely for the plant without root disturbance. Keep roots moist all the time.

Plants will be packed securely in the box, preventing it from shifting inside the box, with adequate moisture in the soil or around the roots in case of bare rooted plants during the dormancy.
