Variety name is - "Arkansas Black" or "Arkblack"
The Arkansas Black apple is one of the crispiest and most dense apples around. It is a late maturing apple that is generally considered best for cooking & desserts rather than eating out of hand. It is a very late variety. Ripeness in New Jersey starts in Mid November when snow comes down.
Originated in Benton County, Arkansas in 1870. Medium to large sized round red apple. Color deepens to purplish red or nearly black. Firm, crisp, yellowish flesh with distinctive flavor. Aromatic. Flavor improves with storage. Keeps well.

Plants will be packed securely in the box, preventing it from shifting inside the box, with adequate moisture in the soil or around the roots in case of bare rooted plants during the dormancy.
